The i7-4770 is over 10 years old at this point but still it is impressive the frames it can push in some modern games. Struggles with CPU heavy games like Helldivers 2 but still puts out a playable 40-60 fps. Worked decently in Marvel Rivals bouncing between 50-60fps.

Can be bought online pre owned for around £30 its a great budget cpu that i have been able to play games such as Need For Speed Unbound and Forza Motorsport on medium settings with 60fps with a cpu that is also under the minimum requirements. is able to use a stock cooler and even cheap coolers that cost less than £10 with no overheating over the course of owning it for just over a year now

Well I probably overpaid for this, but since it was the only viable upgrade, I justified it for 70 bucks.

It's considerably more powerful than my old 4570, and also has 4 more threads.

A great option for mid-2022 gaming at 1080p and some games at 1440p. Unfortunately, it is the top of the upgrade path, but if you can get one cheap enough, it's still a great buy!

The cpu does not feel faster than 3770, but it has AVX2 and hence can run certain newer software.

Still a great CPU. Runs with current mid-level Ryzens and i5s!

Works great despite its age. A good CPU especially if you can get it secondhand

Still holds up well for its age.

Oh, this thing holds up to today's standards. 4 cores, 8 threads, and a boost clock near 4 GHz! This thing can almost compare to a Ryzen 5! Great CPU.
